A great day was had by all in Lough Boora Discovery Park last Sunday! The highlight of the day, the ‘Battle of the Giants’ featuring Fionn Mac Cumhaill and the Scottish giant Angus was a great success. Two separate workshops were held where children got the opportunity to make axes and shields. They then went into battle!
Volunteers worked hard collecting donations, selling raffle tickets and overseeing the colouring competition and games area. Zorbing and archery were other activities that took place on the day.
The event raised €4,500 on the day. Huge thanks goes to our partner, Bord na Mona for making the day possible and all our hard working, fantastic volunteers.
