Barretstown are delighted to announce the launch of the first Barretstown App!
Barretstown campers Tomás and Ingrid Marron were joined by a special visitor, Shrek, who is currently performing in ‘Shrek the Musical’ in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, to launch the Barretstown app.
The app, which has been developed to mark Barretstown’s 20th anniversary, features a number of interactive games which children (and grown-ups!) can play. The five games available on the app allow children to try some of the fun activities that take place at Barretstown’s camps and some of the imagery used in the app are images of children enjoying these games at Barretstown.
The games include: 
- Archery
- Fishing
- Secret Garden Maze
- Connect 4
- Canoeing
The Barretstown App is free to download and play, with no log-in required. It is iOS compatible and currently available on iPhone 4, iPhone 5 and iPad.
This app is part of Barretstown’s ongoing commitment to bring serious fun and the Barretstown camp experience to as many children as possible across the country.
Commenting on the launch of the App, Chief Executive of Barretstown, Dee Ahearn said, “The idea for the app came about as part of our 20th anniversary plans. Children who have been to camp always say that they would love to come back and we think this app will provide an ongoing link to us, to the friends they made, and to the serious fun they had while at camp.”
How to Download the App
If you have an iPhone or iPad you can download the app from the App Store, the app is free to download.
Unfortunately its only available on iOS at the moment but watch this space!
