Apply to Volunteer with us!

We are delighted you have decided to apply to volunteer! You are now a step closer to experience the magic of volunteering with Barretstown !

Thank you for your interest in volunteering. In light of the ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19 and in line with Government guidelines, Barretstown has made the very difficult decision to postpone our traditional camp programmes and outreach programmes. We are constantly monitoring the situation and as soon as it is safe to do so we will re-open our residential programmes.

Although this is very disappointing, the safety of our campers, volunteers and staff has to remain our priority.

However, during these difficult and worrying times, we’re determined to keep the Barretstown magic alive. That’s why we have developed our BARRETSTOWN LIVE PROGRAMME. This innovative online interactive camp experience allows us to continue serving children living with a serious illness. Families receive their specially designed kit in advance and engage with our dedicated team staying on site in Barretstown. This interactive platform provides families with ways to engage with each other during what is a very difficult time.

We are also sharing some Barretstown magic with families across Ireland through weekly broadcasts on Facebook Live.

Barretstown is following infection control guidelines and advice from the HSE, the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, CHI@Crumlin and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
