Isabelle is 3 years old and lives in North County Dublin. She organised a cup cake sale for Barretstown and her dad tells us why:
“Someone called to our front door asking us to donate to Barretstown. Since we subscribe to some charities already and it’s hard to make ends meet, I advised him to come back next year.
My 3 year old daughter asked who the man was. I said he wanted money for children with serious illness, but that I did not gave him any. She thought for a few seconds and then said:
Why don’t we bake some cakes and then when people give us money, we can give that to the children with serious illness”
So one very cold Sunday morning Isabelle set up a table in front of our home and sold all her cupcakes. She raised €14″
