Below is a list of some the FAQ's that some of you may have around The Domino's Amazing Race for Barretstown. These are just a brief outline around the event and we would really like to answer any additional questions you might have. Entry

Only one entry per team please. Please ensure correct details are given when registering for you and your team members.

Event Information

Date: Thursday 15th September

Registration Time: 12:30 to 1:30pm

Warm Up/Safety Briefing: 1:40pm

Event Begins: 14:00pm

Finish Time:  5pm

After BBQ Party: 5-7pm

Registration Fee:  €600 (Team of 6)

Additional Fundraising Target:  We are asking all participants to raise an additional €600 as a team which will help us bring more children living with serious illness to Barretstown to experience our life-changing programmes.

Alternatively, rather than partaking in fundraising prior to the event a company can choose to make a donation of €1,200 (€600 Registration Fee & €600 donation) on behalf of their team if they wish.

What age must you be to enter?

You must be over 18 to participate in this event.

What does your registration include?

Included in Registration Fee:

  • Entry for a team of 6 to our Domino’s Amazing Race for Barretstown
  • Barretstown T-shirts for each participant
  • Fruit/water stations during the event
  • First Aid personnel if needed during the event
  • BBQ Party following the event
  • Team prize for the winning team

Is it possible to get a refund of the entry fee?

Unfortunately, the registration fee is non-refundable.

Can you substitute a team member?

Yes, you can substitute a team member or if someone has dropped out once you notify us before Thursday 8th September 2022. Please email us at corporate@barretstown.org to let us know so we can transfer your entry. We will need all their details confirmed and emailed by the 8th of September.

What do I need to bring with me?

We will provide all equipment that will be needed for the event. There will be water stations available to refill water bottles. The most important thing to bring with you will be appropriate clothing and footwear.

Please bring appropriate footwear: Comfortable runners/sports shoes with good grip, a waterproof top as some activities will be outdoors and suitable

trousers for climbing.

Are there refreshments available?

Yes, there will fruit, tea and coffee and biscuits available on arrival. There will be water stations available to refill water bottles throughout the event. After the event there will be a BBQ after party in our amazing Dining Hall – Elizabeth’s Treehouse.

Is there parking available at Barretstown?

Yes, there will be onsite parking available for all participants.

Where is Barretstown?

Barretstown is located 5 minutes from Ballymore Eustace in Co. Kildare. Click here to view our location on Google Maps.
